With an enormous 2.5” voice coil and a super-efficient cooling system, the VEX handles 300 watts of power with ease. We went with real carbon-fiber cone to handle high SPL systems without breakup, and achieved a 94.3dB sensitivity by combining a large diameter, high strength ferrite motor with a neodymium pole-cap magnet! A sturdy cast-aluminum frame features extensive spider cavity vents to further increase thermal power handling.
