How The Compact Neo V3 Is Built
Motor
The Compact uses a Neodymium motor (equivalent to a 2,000 oz. Ferrite motor). It is FEA-optimized for heat, magnetism and distortion. The SPL and Musical SPL will have a Neodymium cap on the pole piece for heightened performance in "burp."
Soft Parts
The Compact Music SPL and SPL models use a Megaroll Uv.2 for its extremely linear travel and extension. The Music version uses SPL progressive spider, which tightens as it increases in throw to maintain linearity at high volume. Music and Musical SPL options use a red linear spider for the best listening quality.
Basket
The Music uses a patented Sundown frame for better cooling and more throw. The Musical SPL and SPL use the proven U-Series frame for more airflow and efficiency.
